Leia Loonsfoot - Program Manager
Leia Loonsfoot currently serves as the AIBL Program Manager. She is an enrolled member of the Blackfeet Tribe of the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. Leia attended the University Of Montana-School of Business Administration; wherein 2007 she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Leia has tried continuously to apply her combination of practical and academic experience to a variety of organizations throughout Indian country.
Leia has been with AIBL since 2006. She has served as the Administrative Assistant, AmeriCorps Service Member, and Membership Coordinator. Prior to joining AIBL once again in 2011, she worked with Rural Dynamics Incorporated as a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Site Coordinator for the 2010-2011 tax filing season. Leia also served as a Project Coordinator for the Montana Indian Business Alliance, where she worked with Montana Indian entrepreneurs. Her work experience has taught her the importance of staying true to personal endeavors. Leia states, “I am honored for the opportunities I’ve been given; namely advocating for Indian communities and working with others to help our Native communities become self-sufficient through education.”
She is the proud mother of three children. She enjoys volunteering within the local Missoula and Native community, spending time with her family, reading, writing, and attending sporting events.
